Abstract

Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder in which a person experiences difficulties in thought processes leading to hallucinations, delusions, thought disorder. Treatment committed on persons with schizophrenia after three months of therapy at the rehabilitation center sufisti- psychiatric hospital, made their conditions become better, which was originally their behavior unstable with often talking to himself, then gradually recovered. This research is a qualitative descriptive through observation in one of the Boarding Schools in Demak which handles clients with schizophrenia. Interviews and observations on 37 clients conducted with a wide range of backgrounds problems. Of the 255 clients who are in rehab cottage “Nurussalam”. Healing Model conducted by boarding ngepreh is an alternative treatment method with Hydro Therapy Method(religious therapy and herbal therapy) for clients with schizophrenia, the healing is still relatively rare and worth replicated elsewhere. The family as a supporter of healing have a strong conviction to help heal patients with psychotic disorders, other than that there is cooperation between the therapist and the client, the desire of the client to heal, an atmosphere of togetherness with affection and kinship. The amount of family support clients, greatly help in the smooth process of healing.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe social services provided by Budi Dharma elderly home care. There were three persons acted as main informants and they worked as elderly home care administrators and social workers, and five personsliving in the elderly home care acted as supporting informants. The selection of informants is conducted purposively in accordance with the needs of the data relevant to this research. The research took place at Budi Dharma Elderly HomeCare which is located at Giwangan, Umbulharjo Yogyakarta. Data collection carried out through in-depth interviews, and through that of observation and documentary analysis of secondary data related to the research topic. Data gained were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively by using graphic into the aspects of the research that has been determined and presented in percentage, in order to obtain information that describes the work of the social services. The results showed that the elderly feel happy, comfortable and peaceful for Elderly Home Care functions properly in accordance with the standardization of an elderly home care operation. Budi Dharma elderly home care has an organizational structure, infrastructure, administration, financing, and network development. In addition, it has also Elderly Home Care standard operating procedures (SOP) and has a fixed schedule of activities.

Abstract

The number of poor people in Indonesia is still quite high, spreading in rural areas, urban areas, coastal areas, small islands and countries’ border. Government and community are keep trying to resolve this issue, however declining rate of the number of poor people tends to slow down, including in urban areas. This research aimed to know the performance of the collective business group (CBG) in handling the problems of the poor in urban areas. The research was conducted in two cities, namely Tomohon and Manado in North Sulawesi Province. The subject are the entire CBG that was formedin the fiscal year of 2013 in two cities, which were 10 CBG in Tomohon and 60 CBG in Manado. Data were collected by interview, observation and focus group discussion, in May and July 2016. In practice only as many as 9 in the city ofTomohon and 52 Kube in Manado found. The rsearch results show that the performance of the Kube relatively less well. The largest portion of the CBG have been disbanded 77.8 percent in Tomohon and 90.4 percent in Manado. CBG which are still active as much as two units in Tomohon and five units in Manado. More than half had already disbanded prior to the first anniversary. There are five main reasons that make CBG disbanded, namely business losses, members reluctant to continue their joint effort, natural disasters, and dissent. UEP suffered losses due to three factors, namely the high cost ofproduction, it is not economical, influenced by the weather. Meanwhile, CBGs that survive also less able to give significant additional income for its members. The overall performance of the CBG in two cities has not been sufficient to eradicate poverty. The low performance of the CBGs occur due to a series of program implementation process done professionally, tend to be oriented solely to administrative settlement. Project management has not taken control of technical activities with good substance, at all stages.

Abstract

Indonesia sudah pada tahap darurat narkoba, setiap tahun ribuan orang meninggal akibat penyalahgunaan narkoba. Maraknya penyalahgunaan narkoba akan memperlemah kualitas sumberdaya manusia Indonesia. Penyalahguna narkoba adalah korban dari kejahatan jaringan pengedar narkoba ilegal. Mereka membutuhkan pertolongan untuk bisa kembalimenjadi manusia seutuhnya, sehingga dapat menata kehidupan dan masa depannya sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan pelaksanaan penanganan korban penyalahgunaan narkoba oleh Lembaga Pengabdian Pemuda Bangsa (LP2B) Ambon, yang ditunjuk sebagai Institusi Penerima Wajib Lapor (IPWL) oleh Kementerian Sosial. Informan penelitianadalah ketua, pengurus dan petugas rehabilitasi LP2B, pecandu dan korban penyalahgunaan narkoba yang menjadi binaan LP2B, serta petugas BNN Maluku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LP2B sebagai IPWL menerima dan melaksanakan rehabilitasi sosial bagi korban penyalahgunaan narkoba yang sudah memperoleh pelayanan medis dari rumah sakit di KotaAmbon. Pelayanan rehabilitasi di LP2B melalui sistem luar panti, klien bisa melakukan konsultasi tatap muka dengan petugas dan lewat telepon. LP2B juga melakukan jemput bola jika ada pecandu dan korban penyalahgunaan narkoba. LP2B melakukan pendekatan pada pecandu, korban, dan keluarga agar bersedia mendapatkan penanganan, pelayanan dan siap menjalani rehabilitasi sosial. Penyuluhan dan sosialisasi dilakukan kepada keluarga dan masyarakat sebagai upaya mencegah terjadinya penyalahgunaan narkoba serta menumbuhkan keberanian melapor apabila ada anggota keluarga atau tetangga menjadi korban penyalahgunaan narkoba. Kementerian Sosial agar menyiapkan dan mengoptimalkan peran pekerja sosial termasuk konsultan dibidang adiksi untuk memberi pelayanan rehabilitasi sosial bagi korban penyalahgunaan napza.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the application of restorative justice in juvenile criminal after the enactment of the Child Criminal Justice System seen from the aspect of regulation, infrastructure, institutions and human resources fromthe investigation until the prosecution. The study was conducted in Central Java at the number of cases of violence and sexual crimes against children whether done by adults or children. The primary data obtained by structured interviewsthrough questionnaire and enriched bydeep interviews, observation, focus group discussions and literature review. Research shows that the Central Java is alert and ready to face the change of juvenile criminal justice paradigm from retributive and restitutiveto restorative justice. Some regulations have been made to protect children, especially victims. Law enforcement agencies have also been trying to complete juvenile criminal justice through infrastructures and budgets, although still limited. In practice, limited human resources both in terms of quantity as well as the knowledge and skills of handling ABH become one of the bottlenecks. It is expected that the government is able to increase resources through recruitment and procurement implementing technical training.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to reveal the role of granular brown sugar manufacture to enhance family social welfare done by house wives in Kebonrejo Village. The approach model used in this research is case study, data are gathered through interview, observation, and documnentary analysis related to written activities of brown sugar making process. The research finds that the enhancement of family social welfare of house wives of Kebonrejo Village can be reseached from their success to change their local product from raw field material to ready consumed product (granular brown sugar) that multiple their income. The multiple income effects their ability to purchase house hold needs, sort of more eat and drinks, house hold divices, clothing, health service, and school fee for their children. It is recommended that the departement of social affairs and related institutions having commitment on social empowerment to emphasize their approach especially with local communities having resource and human potential prospect to develop.

Abstract

The law No 11 2009 on social welfare states that the implementation of social welfare is shared responsibility between the government, local government and communities. The central government, in this case, is the ministry of social affairs as facilitator and framers policy, while local governments responsibility for social welfare implementation in its respective area by involving participation of the communit, including the business world. The commitment of the local government on residents welfare is the major key of the social welfare, manifested through various activity programs on social services, covering protection and social insurance, social assistance and rehabilitation, and community empowerment. The research took place in East Belitung Regency, with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data gathered from informants which consisted a head of social agency, two sub heads of social agency, two section heads of on social affairs , labor and transmigration, two of the bappeda as head and head of , and a of social institutions (BAZ). Data collected analyzed qualitatively model miles and huberman. Research locations have firm commitment in social welfare agency, two head and sub head of social, men power, and transmigration agency, two heads of development planning agency, and one from local social institution (BAZ). Data are analyzed through qualitative-descriptive technique, through Miles and Huberman model. The local goverment and community in the research location on social welfare handling, proven by decreasing number of pre prosperous 3.208 families (>30 persen) in 2014 to 1.030 familes (12.16 persen) in 2015, within one year term had been an increase in social welfare of 2.178 families.The increase of residents social welfare of Belitung Timurmanifested through various activity programs, among the programs which were touted was renovation of not-habitable houses with budget allocation 45 to 55 million per unit and “pelangi” family programs (family hope program) funded by local budget allocation. All people in this district received health insurance (BPJS) through the routine fund receiver (PBI) funded by the national and regional budgets.

Abstract

The coastal communities is one of the main groups of the poorest. The policies that have been implemented in coastal areas often result in some circumstances as ecological destruction, poverty gap and traditional fishing, as well as publicdependence on financiers. This research aims to understand the need to reduce poverty in coastal areas according to the characteristics and needs of the community. This type of research is qualitative-descriptive. The location of research in Juwana sub district, Pati Regency, and the Ulujami Subdistrict in Pemalang Regency. Respondents are 100 people, consisting of representatives from local government, community organizations, cooperatives, fishermen, farmers, fishpond farmers, and fish processors. The technique of collecting data using interviews, focus group discussions and observation. Data were analyzed using a model developed by Spradley, which is the unity of a linear process that starts from domain analysis, taxonomic, componential and of cultural themes. The conclusion of this study is that a model of addressing poverty in the north coast of Central Java community is a concept that promotes empowerment principle, commitment to the beliefs, values, customs, common interests, including create transparency, honesty, solidarity and community involvement.
